I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself. My name is Stacy Spicer and I am one of the Intervention Specialist here at Pleasantville. This is my 19th year teaching for Fairfield Union Schools. I have a Bachelor Degree from Ohio University in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree from Ashland University in Intervention Mild/Moderate. I live with my husband David and our three children just outside of Lancaster.
My oldest in D. J. He is in 10th grade; he plays soccer and basketball. He is also an Eagle Scout. Next is Tori, and she is in 6th grade; she dances with Kids in Motion. Lastly, my son, Corbin, is in 4th grade; he plays soccer and basketball. He is also a Cub Scout.
I am looking forward to closely working together with you as a team to meet the needs of the students. I strongly believe that with your help we can make a difference in your student’s education. My mission is to support and encourage the students to reach their full potential. I will take every step necessary to foster a warm and caring atmosphere that will encourage the students to respect the rights and differences of others. I will take every opportunity to help students realize their self worth and that they have the ability to achieve their goals, do their best, and to contribute to their community.
Please help me, help your student by becoming involved with your student’s education. Please check your student’s folder for homework and notes. Studies show that parental involvement in a student’s education is one of the strongest indicators of achievement. I hope you will make it a priority this year to attend as many school events as possible.
I will be notifying you every nine weeks, on how your student is progressing on their IEP goals. Student’s progress reports, for the elementary level, will be sent home with students with their grade card.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the school (740-468-2181), email me ([email protected]), or send me a message on Class Dojo, so we can work together in providing your student the best education possible.
